About The Position

As the Vice President, Global Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for direct management of the controllership function, which includes corporate accounting, financial operations (including our Global Clearinghouse), and Treasury. You will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of a highly complex global financial operations function while continually improving procedures, processes, and systems. Reporting to the SVP, Global Controller and working closely with key stakeholders across the company, you will play an integral role in supporting our growth as we continue to scale globally.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive accounting, finance, and operational leadership experience within complex, global organizations.
  • Proven experience leading and developing global teams, including management of both direct and indirect reports across multiple regions and time zones (30+ team members).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • Experience working with and/or leading a Center of Excellence (CoE), Shared Services organization, or hybrid operating model.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within multi-entity, multi-currency, and international business environments.
  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives within finance, accounting, and operational organizations.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated professional with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while maintaining a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, including extensive experience gathering, structuring, validating, and monitoring large volumes of financial and operational data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and comprehensive documentation standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial and operational concepts across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment, with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • MBA, CTP, CMA, or other advanced professional certifications preferred.
  • Experience driving finance transformation initiatives, including the adoption of AI, automation, and scalable process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce manual errors preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s global corporate accounting, financial operations, and treasury functions for a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency, 1,500+ employee organization operating across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Own the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Provide strategic and technical accounting leadership across the organization, including development and maintenance of accounting policies, technical accounting memoranda, internal controls documentation, and scalable operational procedures that reflect industry best practices.
  • Oversee and continuously improve the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial statements, management reporting, and executive-level analytics.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, HR, Revenue Operations, and international business teams to support operational scalability, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth.
  • Lead the company’s external audit process, including coordination with external auditors, preparation of audit support, resolution of technical accounting matters, and maintenance of a strong and effective internal control environment.
  • Oversee global compliance activities related to statutory reporting, tax coordination, treasury operations, customer funds flows, and other regulatory requirements across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Champion the strategic adoption of AI and automation technologies within the controllership organization to improve operational efficiency, enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and enable scalable decision-making processes across the business.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve key accounting and operational performance metrics to support data-driven decision making and organizational accountability.
  • Develop, and mentor high-performing controllership teams across multiple time zones, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement-oriented culture.
  • Effectively manage and develop both direct and indirect reports, including performance management, succession planning, organizational design, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner to executive leadership by providing financial insight, operational guidance, and risk assessment in support of company objectives and long-term growth.
