About The Position

The Vice President Facilities is responsible for leading and managing the credit union’s physical infrastructure and operational support services. This role ensures that facilities, maintenance, construction projects, furniture procurement, janitorial services, supply management, vendor/contractor relationships, and business continuity planning are executed effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. This position will drive operational excellence, cost-effectiveness, and innovation while ensuring a safe, functional, and engaging work environment for employees and members.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of business continuity planning, emergency response, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proven experience managing large scale construction, renovation, or facilities projects.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Experience with vendor/contractor management, contract negotiation, and procurement best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study such as Business Administration or related field.
  • 8 – 10 years of related experience to include progressive leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of all credit union locations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement long-term facilities management strategies, including preventative maintenance programs.
  • Manage lease agreements, property management relationships, and space planning for optimal utilization.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to align projects with organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships for facilities, janitorial, construction, and operational supplies.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize cost savings and quality service.
  • Conduct regular BCP training, testing, and drills to ensure operational readiness.
  • Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost efficiencies.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
