The Facilities Specialist is responsible for maintaining safe, functional, and efficient facilities. This role supports day-to-day building operations, coordinates and completes maintenance and repairs, manages vendors, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple facility-related needs. How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation: Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, etc.) Coordinate preventive maintenance and respond to facility service requests in a timely manner Troubleshoot basic facility issues and perform minor repairs as needed Manage and supervise third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Support space planning, moves, and office setups Operate company vehicles as needed to complete tasks Assist with emergency preparedness and response procedures Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and workplace experience

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices
  • Ability to read basic technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Hand and power tool experience
  • Basic computer skills (CMMS, work order systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification in related trade
  • Experience with CMMS or facilities management software
  • OSHA or safety training certifications
  • Experience in office, manufacturing, healthcare, or multi-site environments

Responsibilities
