About The Position

The VP, Enterprise Claims Initiatives, reporting directly to the Chief Claims Officer, acts as a strategic advisor and project management leader within the claims function. This role blends operational oversight with organizational responsibilities, driving transformation, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement across claims operations. This position reports directly to the Chief Claims Officer. The VP works closely with department heads, project stakeholders, and external partners to ensure successful outcomes and drive positive change across the claims function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of claims, project management or consulting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and other current project management platforms and tools.
  • Proven expertise in project management, consulting methodologies, and change management.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with claims systems, project management, and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Advise senior leadership and project stakeholders on best practices, process improvements, and innovation within claims management.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams, establishing project timelines and frameworks, and ensuring deliverables are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, build consensus, and ensure alignment on claims initiatives.
  • Analyze claims data, identify opportunities for optimization and change management, and create actionable recommendations for sustained improvements.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to managers and staff involved in claims projects, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed project progress reports, strategic recommendations, and outcome analyses to executive leadership.
