About The Position

Amplify Credit Union is seeking a VP – Commercial Loan Officer to join their award-winning commercial lending team. This remote position focuses on spec home and residential development loans, aiming to diversify the commercial real estate concentration. The role involves establishing relationships with businesses within Amplify's service area to originate commercial loans while providing outstanding member service. Requirements

  • Direct industry experience lending to Spec-House Builders or Residential Developers.
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years credit union or other financial industry experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and proven track record of commercial lending.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Proficient with personal computer, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Credit Bureau Systems and financial calculators.
  • Reliable internet access of 50MBPS.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages relationships with existing and prospective business members to drive new business, retain existing relationships, and grow commercial loan and deposit portfolios, with a focus on spec home and residential development lending.
  • Maintains and manages a portfolio of business relationships to achieve production goals, deliver an exceptional member experience, and identify cross-sell opportunities while ensuring portfolio quality and soundness.
  • Leads and participates in business development efforts through member engagement, community involvement, and industry partnerships, including collaboration with third-party vendors to support business services.
  • Evaluates, structures, and processes commercial loan requests by interviewing applicants, analyzing financials, credit and collateral, and coordinating with credit analysts to assess risk and feasibility.
  • Ensures all lending activities comply with internal policies and applicable NCUA and Texas regulations, utilizing risk analysis and credit review processes to monitor loan quality.
  • Provides financial guidance and advisory support to business members and prospective clients based on a strong understanding of market conditions, economic trends, and industry performance.
  • Manages post-closing responsibilities, including site visits, collateral inspections, and ongoing monitoring, and supports collection efforts in partnership with Account Resolutions as needed.
