About The Position

Little Sleepies is seeking a VP, Brand Marketing to lead the brand's marketing efforts as the company enters its next phase of growth. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end brand marketing engine, including voice, storytelling, community, culture, and marketing production. The ideal candidate will translate the brand's vision into a scalable system for a fast-growing, omni-channel business, proving the commercial impact of marketing initiatives. This senior leadership position reports directly to the CEO and involves owning brand strategy, planning, and execution across all customer touchpoints, while building a team and establishing operational standards for consistent brand representation at scale.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of brand marketing leadership within a high-growth consumer or lifestyle brand, with meaningful ownership of brand strategy, campaigns, social, community, partnerships, and/or content.
  • A track record of building and leading high-performing teams across some combination of community, social, influencer/partnerships, copy, or project management.
  • Exceptional brand instincts and storytelling skills, with a track record of building emotionally resonant narratives, campaigns, and activations that deliver measurable commercial results.
  • Deep experience building distinctive multi-channel consumer brands, with the ability to drive brand consistency and executional excellence across social, video, photography, editorial, and other customer touchpoints.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, creator culture, and how modern consumer brands earn attention rather than simply buy it.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing, with the ability to tailor messaging for new and returning audiences across multiple categories.
  • Fluency with AI tools and emerging technologies, with a track record of using them to increase creative velocity, team efficiency, and marketing effectiveness.
  • LA-based or ability to relocate.

  • Experience building a premium, highly distinctive consumer brand strongly preferred.
  • Family, kids, or baby category experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Little Sleepies brand marketing and go-to-market strategy as the company expands into multiple family lifestyle categories.
  • Set the brand strategy across site, email, social, retail, PR, and experiential, tailoring it by audience and category while maintaining a distinctive, modern, and emotionally resonant brand.
  • Translate business and growth priorities into emotionally resonant, commercially effective campaigns.
  • Build Little Sleepies into a culturally relevant family lifestyle brand by identifying opportunities to enter broader conversations through creators, talent, partnerships, founder storytelling, earned moments, and unexpected activations.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Commercialization on the launch and scaling of the proprietary character franchise, ensuring brand and IP storytelling compound rather than compete.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing brand organization, setting a high bar for brand excellence, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Own the brand calendar and go-to-market process from creative brief through activation and post-launch analysis, establishing project management systems and playbooks for efficient campaign execution.
  • Manage agency and creative partners, ensuring high-quality output and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee organic social strategy and execution, building a distinctive, culturally fluent social voice and content strategy across existing and emerging platforms.
  • Evolve customer community and ambassador programs, deepening advocacy and emotional connection while protecting authenticity.
  • Lead creator, influencer, collaboration, and brand partnership strategy, identifying opportunities that authentically extend Little Sleepies into family, lifestyle, and culture.
  • Oversee earned media and PR, securing coverage that amplifies the Little Sleepies voice and builds durable share-of-voice.
  • Translate brand storytelling into measurable impact on acquisition, retention, and LTV in partnership with Analytics and Lifecycle.
  • Own the brand function’s budget and resourcing, and report on brand-health metrics, content performance, and creative ROI to the CEO and leadership team.
  • Serve as a key strategic thought partner to the CEO and represent the brand function within the broader marketing leadership team.
