About The Position

The Outreach Team is seeking a Voter Contact Field Director for Reproductive Rights in Wisconsin. This role involves recruiting, training, and managing a team of local canvassers to contact voters at the door to promote the right to abortion access and reproductive freedom. The Field Director will lead by example by canvassing themselves, communicating goals to staff, and managing campaign reporting. The position is based in La Crosse, WI, with a preference for local candidates, and starts in mid-September for the midterm campaign cycle.

Nice To Haves

Experience running paid canvasses or managing paid employees.
Familiarity with VAN and MiniVAN.
Experience working in underserved or marginalized communities.
Facilitation experience.
Local knowledge/experience.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of 15–20 hourly staff who will canvass door to door to talk to voters about defending reproductive rights.
Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals.
Set goals and hold staff accountable to them.
Train and provide ongoing motivation and support to staff.
Identify, promote, and train a leadership team.
Build a diverse team where staff feel respected while fostering a culture of equity and justice.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the work.
Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff.
Develop strategic plans to reach targeted voters in assigned locations.
Manage administrative duties, including reporting data, record keeping, processing payroll, and distribution of materials.
