About The Position

The Volunteer will support YMCA programs, community events, members, staff, and organizational operations in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Volunteers may help with events and community programs, assist staff with daily operations, provide direct support to members, and contribute to outreach, fundraising, or administrative tasks. The YMCA offers a supportive, mission-driven environment, opportunities to learn and grow, and the chance to contribute to a nonprofit working to strengthen the community. Training is provided when applicable. Volunteers assisting with YMCA programs and operations must complete required clearances and training; these are not required for volunteers participating only in River Crossing YMCA one-day special events.

Requirements

• Must have completed 6th grade.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help.
• Dependable with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass required clearances.
• Clearances and training are required for volunteers assisting with YMCA programs and operations; they are not required for one-day special events only.
• No prior experience is required; training is provided if applicable.
