About The Position

River Crossing YMCA is seeking passionate and reliable volunteers in Newtown, Pennsylvania, to support its community programs and operations. Volunteers may support events, assist staff with daily operations, provide direct support to members, and help with outreach, fundraising, or administrative tasks. The organization offers a supportive, mission-driven environment, opportunities to learn and grow, hands-on nonprofit experience, and the chance to make a positive community impact. No prior experience is required; training may be provided where applicable. Volunteers must have completed 6th grade and be able to pass required clearances. Clearances and training are required for volunteers assisting with YMCA programs and operations, but are not required for people volunteering only at one-day River Crossing YMCA special events, such as the Bucks County 5K or Kids Triathlon.

Requirements

• Must have completed 6th grade.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help.
• Dependable, with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass required clearances for YMCA programs and operations; clearances are not required for volunteers participating only in designated one-day special events.
• No prior experience required; training is provided if applicable.
