About The Position
The primary purpose of the Volunteer Services Director is to oversee the daily operations of the Volunteer Services Department and provide supervision to staff. The Volunteer Services Director position will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs utilizing community resources to meet the needs of the patient population. The Volunteer Services Department is a small but highly visible department performing work with a diverse group of volunteers, staff from multiple disciplines and working directly with patients throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution
- Three years of experience in human services programs
- At least eighteen months of experience in a volunteer services program in a hospital, State-operated residential program, or community program
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice To Haves
- Certification in non-profit management
- Certified administrator of Volunteers in NC
- Training in volunteer administration or nonprofit management
- Experience with diverse groups of people
- Previous supervisory experience
