The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) works to build on strengths of families and communities to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, so they thrive. We do this through investigations, services, and referrals. CPS Volunteer Services Coordinator III- This position serves as the Community Coordinator for Tarrant County and is responsible for organizing local community initiatives to support the Tarrant County Child Protective Services program for the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services. Work involves organizing and implementing several major projects each year, and overseeing, coordinating, and promoting a volunteer services program to assist with these projects. This position provides public awareness about child abuse and neglect and develops relationships with community boards and partners. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
