Nice To Haves

• No hospice experience is needed, just a certified and vaccinated pet for the Pet Therapy Volunteer role.

Responsibilities

• Support the care team behind the scenes by helping in offices with tasks like data entry, assembling packets, and sending cards to family members.
• Organize special memories for patients, sew memory bears or blankets.
• Visit patients to offer companionship and give caregivers a break, engaging in activities like reading, hobbies, playing games, and listening.
• Share the love of a Certified Therapy Pet with patients.
• Use musical gifts to brighten patients' days and provide comfort to healthcare staff.
• Connect with fellow veterans, provide companionship, and participate in meaningful ceremonies to support and honor veteran patients.
