About The Position

The Volunteer Manager – Partnerships and Outreach focusing on Young Adult Engagement is responsible for all AmeriCorps, Interns, youth, and young adult volunteer programming. This includes recruitment, onboarding, management, training, recognition, and retention. This position is also responsible for specific volunteer engagement outreach campaigns. The position works as a part of the People and Culture Team to grow the volunteer programs in support of overall volunteer engagement at Habitat Metro Denver. The Volunteer Manager also works closely with Construction and ReStore departments to identify opportunities and create a positive and productive environment for volunteers. Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in the field of volunteer management or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
  • Personal volunteer experience.
  • Experience with presentation and meeting facilitation with small, medium, to large groups.
  • Experience with CRM / scheduling systems / database software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office programs (MS Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and able to learn as needs of job and available technologies evolve.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company’s insurance policy is prerequisite; driving is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in Volunteer Administration is preferred.
  • Experience with long-term National or International Service programs (AmeriCorps or Peace Corps), preferred.
  • Experience with VolunteerHub, Raiser’s Edge and Monday.com, a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree could be beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all elements of the AmeriCorps program for the organization, including recruitment, reporting, orientation, training, support, mentorship, reviews, and recognition.
  • Oversee all elements of the IJGD German Volunteer program, including recruitment, orientation, training, support, mentorship, reviews, and recognition.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for affiliate-owned AmeriCorps & IJGD housing.
  • Manage AmeriCorps National Community Civilian Corps (NCCC) teams.
  • Organize, manage, and evaluate the ReStore Summer Internship Program.
  • Manage, support, and recruit for paid and unpaid internship opportunities.
  • Work with the Volunteer Team to host out-of-town Collegiate Challenge and Alternative Break volunteer groups.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for high school and college volunteers.
  • Manage and develop strategic partnerships with organizations that provide hands-on skills training through volunteering with Habitat.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with organizations and schools to create and support long-term volunteer placements with Habitat.
  • Develop and implement volunteer outreach and recruitment campaigns utilizing data.
  • Maintain the online presence of all volunteer opportunities.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to coordinate e-mail marketing and social media efforts.
  • Represent Habitat Metro Denver at Volunteer Fairs within the community.
  • Support the Volunteer Team for department-wide events.
  • Demonstrate energy and passion for Habitat’s mission and Cultural Blueprint values.
  • Work to advance the Service Enterprise Initiative.
  • Support the Director of Volunteer Engagement in training staff on volunteer engagement best practices.
  • Enhance the organization’s culture by reinforcing core values and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Recruit and supervise volunteer support, as needed.
