About The Position
The Volunteer Engagement VISTA will create and improve volunteer engagement processes that support TSF’s Nutritional Services program. By strengthening the volunteer signup experience, implementing new management software, and building a skills-based volunteer model, the VISTA will increase the organization's capacity to engage the community in closing the food insecurity gap.
Requirements
- 18 years of age (no upper limit)
- Pass a national service criminal history check
- Hold one of the following citizenship statuses: U.S. citizen, U.S. National, Lawful Permanent Resident Aliens and persons residing in a state that have the following legal residency classifications: Refugee, asylum or asylee, temporary protected status, or deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) status.
Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of TSF’s mission and programs while serving directly at food distribution sites to engage and support community volunteers.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of volunteer management by transitioning to new software and streamlining administrative workflows.
- Ensure the long-term success of the volunteer program by formalizing all systems and strategic plans into SOPs.
