World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to engaging with the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. Founded after World War II, for 80 years, World Relief has worked in over 100 countries, partnering with local churches and communities to foster thriving families and flourishing communities. Current programming includes humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy. The Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role in building a vibrant community engagement structure that positively impacts clients, World Relief, the church, and the community. This role focuses on ensuring volunteers develop authentic relationships with immigrants, foster welcoming communities for mutual transformation through robust onboarding and training, coordinate engagement with programmatic areas, and provide ongoing support and development of volunteer engagement pathways. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the successful implementation and oversight of the entire volunteer program, including recruitment, onboarding, training, placement, engagement, retention, and recognition. This is considered an integral, long-term role within the Church and Community Engagement Department.
