About The Position

Within the context of the vision and values of the organization, the Volunteer Coordinator implements and coordinates volunteer programs and activities in response to the priority health issues identified by Community of Care – Coastal. Recruits and trains volunteers and coordinates their deployment. Acts as a resource for staff who interact with volunteers and ensures compliance with organizational policies relevant to volunteers.

Requirements

  • Grade 12.
  • Volunteer Manager Courses/Program/Diploma.
  • Two years experience working with volunteer based programs or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to supervise.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
