About The Position
Grand Canyon University is seeking a Volunteer Coach for Track and Field. This role operates under the general direction of the Track and Field Coach and is ideal for individuals passionate about helping student-athletes achieve their highest level of excellence. GCU is an institutionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Requirements
- 1 year of work experience in a similar capacity
- Must be able to pass a background investigation
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
Nice To Haves
- CPR, First Aid and Coaches’ Safety Training certifications
- AED training preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with on-field/court coaching and demonstration for team and/or individual practices
- Assist with coaching on the court during home and away tournaments/matches
- Assist with the preparation of team matches including travel
- Assist with administrative duties, including recruiting as allowed within NCAA rules
- Assist with Video Analysis
- Other duties as assigned
