About The Position

Lumistry is seeking a tech-savvy VoIP or Telecom Inventory Specialist to work in a hybrid environment in their Boiling Springs, SC office. This role is responsible for overseeing the order fulfillment of VoIP phones and related equipment, as well as device provisioning and testing. Some packaging and shipping duties are required for processing equipment shipments and returns. A background working with inventory fulfillment is helpful. The specialist will also be trained to support and configure a proprietary cloud-based phone system, joining a team of professionals skilled in selling, implementing, and supporting telecommunications solutions. Lumistry will provide the necessary tools and training to succeed, offering a great opportunity for on-the-job training for a highly marketable skillset in telecommunications.

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Track, process, and provide order status on all VoIP equipment orders, working with vendors and internal teams through Salesforce, email, and web-based systems.
  • Request purchase orders for order fulfillment.
  • Accurately document updates to Salesforce cases and tasks, ensuring data integrity of MAC addresses and order information.
  • Provision PBXs, assign device MAC addresses, test VoIP devices, and update DNS records/web entries via hosting provider.
  • Process add-on orders, including additional lines, departments, PBX updates, and hardware, testing new numbers for voice, fax, and SMS functionality.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on active orders, including running custom reports and dashboards to track order volume, resolution times, and backlogs.
  • Troubleshoot and test equipment using internal systems, and clearly document all steps taken and results for future reference.
  • Coordinate all equipment logistics, including packaging, processing returns, and utilizing shipping carrier portals for advanced tracking and vendor communication.
  • Document Salesforce workflows, inventory procedures, and internal processes related to case management and order fulfillment.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation, conducting regular audits or physical counts to ensure electronic records match actual physical stock.
  • Work with other staff and departments to provide exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and update procedural documentation to reflect best practices, ensuring it stays current as process guidelines change.
  • Conduct or participate in internal training as requested.
  • Provide feedback for improvement of system features and internal processes.
  • Perform audits of services and records as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
