The Voice Systems Technician supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will participate in design/deploy enterprise solution architecture, coordinate installations and migrations. They will troubleshoot LAN and WAN hardware systems and respond to customer inquiries. The role involves meeting with IT managers to determine contract/Government VoIP network needs, analyzing existing VoIP networks/computer systems, and developing architecture for voice/data (future) services. Responsibilities include installing/incorporating network hardware such as IP/PABX communication servers, designing/implementing communications unified capabilities, troubleshooting VoIP network issues, analyzing/upgrading network security systems and protocols, adding network users and managing contract/Government permissions/accesses, optimizing installations for future expansion, and training staff on network/system protocols. The technician will also install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair non-secure voice and/or non-voice communications systems including intercom and public address systems, alarm systems, and electronic and electromechanical telephone key systems/PABXs; terminal and communications equipment, including line drivers. This includes running cables, key cables, or house wire to all telephone sets, terminal connectors, lugs, pins, or screws, associated with key telephone equipment and/or terminating equipment for non-voice circuits. The role requires configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring system operating software/hardware, and performing all functions to support the Land Mobile Radio program on site.
