About The Position

Aetos Systems, Inc. is seeking a Voice Systems Engineer II to research, design, develop, integrate, test, document, and oversee the installation of electrical communication systems at Kennedy Space Center, including analog and digital Voice Communications systems. This is a represented staff position with the IBEW Union.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus 5 years’ experience, or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited engineering program and three (3) years of Engineering Experience.
  • Strong engineering, administration, and troubleshooting experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, and other enterprise Linux distributions) and Microsoft 10/11.
  • Experience with system administration, patch management, user administration, and system hardening.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python for application support, automation, and systems integration.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Windows batch scripts and Linux shell scripts.
  • Hands-on experience using Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
  • Experience supporting enterprise voice communications, including VoIP, SIP, T1, RF communications, voice gateways, and telephony infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex cross-platform issues spanning operating systems, applications, networking, and voice systems.
  • Experience with system monitoring, performance analysis, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience authoring and maintaining technical documentation, including system documentation, implementation guides, troubleshooting guides, change requests, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Engineering principles and technologies.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and computer administration.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a NASA background investigation.
  • Must be able to pass initial and random drug testing.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
