About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Voice Designer to help craft high-quality voice experiences across a range of consumer-facing platforms and products. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about audio excellence, user experience, and the creative application of voice and conversational audio. The Voice Designer will work at the intersection of sound design, voice production, and emerging AI-driven voice technologies, contributing to voice systems used at global scale.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in text-to-speech voice development, technical sound design, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams and external vendors.
  • Strong critical listening skills, with demonstrated experience validating audio quality across software and hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with voice production or audio post-production, including casting, recording, editing, and mastering.
  • Proficiency with digital audio workstations and editing tools, with strong preference for Pro Tools and iZotope RX.
  • Comfort using command-line interface (CLI) tools for daily workflows and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of DSP, audio synthesis, and digital audio concepts and formats.
  • Familiarity with QA processes, test plans, and bug tracking systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Scripting or programming experience (such as Python or C++).
  • Experience using version control systems to review, track, and land changes.
  • Ability to navigate large codebases and complex file systems to locate and understand relevant assets or code.
  • Familiarity with AI and generative AI systems, including text-to-speech model training or tuning.
  • Experience tuning audio hardware experiences using sound tools and/or DSP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end voice design efforts, including design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing quality initiatives.
  • Oversee multiple voice projects simultaneously and maintain structured voice asset libraries using content management systems.
  • Support localization efforts, including voice data collection and adaptation for global markets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with research, engineering, product, and production partners to align creative and technical goals.
  • Define creative and technical requirements for voice design across products and experiences.
  • Support voice talent casting evaluations and selection processes.
  • Drive projects to completion in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Investigate, triage, escalate, and follow up on audio- and voice-related bugs.
  • Partner closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure quality and consistency.
