About The Position

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Voice Network Engineer to provide tier 3 engineering and support for voice and communications networks. This role involves configuring, developing, patching, STIGing, enhancing, and adding features to Cisco VoIP systems, including Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Ribbon VX900 devices, Instant Message and Presence, and Teleconference Bridges. The engineer will also develop configurations and methods for Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and other network devices that use Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to connect the system to external voice systems. Additionally, they will develop configurations for SIP connections between the VoIP network and other customer networks, such as Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, SRST, and other Cisco VoIP networks.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a VoIP or telecommunications engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Must be CCNP Collaborations certified.
• Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure (switches, routers).
• Extensive experience with Cisco tools and technologies including Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) and Unity.
• Experience with network implementation and maintenance.
• Able to demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties.
• Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Hold a current Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
