About The Position

Access One is a business technology services and communications provider focused on helping organizations simplify, modernize, and manage their critical communications and connectivity. Our solutions span traditional telecom, VoIP, UCaaS, internet connectivity, managed IT, cloud, and related services. We work closely with clients to understand their needs, design practical solutions, and deliver a high-quality experience from discovery through implementation. The Voice & Connectivity Solutions Specialist will play a key role in helping Access One scope, quote, and coordinate client solutions across traditional voice, VoIP, UCaaS, broadband, fiber, coax, and circuit-based connectivity. This role is more than order processing: it requires curiosity, problem solving, client-facing communication, and the ability to translate business needs into practical telecom and internet solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong business and technical curiosity. While deep engineering expertise is not required, the ability to understand telecommunications concepts, ask effective discovery questions, and translate client needs into practical solutions is essential.

Requirements

  • Experience in telecommunications, internet services, carrier services, UCaaS, VoIP, or a related technology services environment.
  • Understand, or eager to deepen understanding of, circuits, broadband, fiber, coax, SIP, hosted voice, UCaaS platforms, call routing, and telecom ordering workflows.
  • Comfortable asking discovery questions and turning incomplete information into a clear next step.
  • Ability to balance detail-oriented order management with solution-oriented thinking.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, sales teams, vendors, and technical resources.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing track of details.
  • Enjoy learning new products, carrier options, and technical concepts.
  • Comfortable working in systems, quoting tools, spreadsheets, CRM/order platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating across departments.
  • Bring a professional, steady, client-focused approach when timelines, requirements, or priorities change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing telecom, internet, VoIP, UCaaS, or connectivity quotes.
  • Familiarity with carrier portals, CLEC environments, telecom provisioning, or order management workflows.
  • Exposure to SIP, PRI, analog lines, hosted voice, Teams voice, contact center, SD-WAN, broadband, DIA, fiber, coax, or failover solutions.
  • Experience working directly with sales teams, clients, vendors, or implementation resources.
  • Ability to document technical and business requirements in a way that is clear, accurate, and actionable.

Responsibilities

  • Scope client telecom and internet needs by gathering requirements around locations, users, call flows, bandwidth, redundancy, business priorities, timelines, and budget.
  • Prepare and deliver solution quotes using multiple underlying carriers, Access One products, and internal quoting tools.
  • Recommend practical, cost-effective options across traditional voice, VoIP, UCaaS, SIP, broadband, DIA, fiber, coax, and other connectivity services.
  • Partner with sales to clarify client needs, identify gaps, explain options, and support a consultative selling motion. (this role does not carry a quota)
  • Translate customer requirements into clean internal documentation for ordering, provisioning, implementation, and support teams.
  • Coordinate orders from quote acceptance through installation, keeping internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients aligned.
  • Manage multiple opportunities and orders at the same time while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and clear communication.
  • Identify risks, roadblocks, missing information, or carrier constraints early and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Access One telecom, UCaaS, VoIP, internet, and connectivity offerings, along with carrier capabilities and ordering requirements.
  • Provide professional written and verbal updates to clients, sales, vendors, and internal departments throughout the solution and implementation lifecycle.
  • Support process improvement, documentation, and special projects as the role and solution portfolio continue to evolve.
