Voice and Piano Teacher - Northwest Austin, TX
About The Position
We are seeking fun, experienced, and professional voice and piano instructors to teach part-time at our Northwest Austin locations: The Musician's Woodshed- North Parmer, Velocity Music Academy - Cedar Park, and Northwest School of Music. This teacher will be instructing IN PERSON at our school. Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $28-$32/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
Requirements
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Robust appreciation for punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
Responsibilities
- Instructing voice and piano lessons in person.
- Designing customized lesson plans for each student.
- Focusing on the student’s music tastes, skill set, and personal goals.
- Providing an exciting, engaging, and encouraging environment for students.
- Teaching lessons in a clean, safe, fun, and family-oriented environment.
