A vacancy currently exists for a Vocational Support Specialist within the Division of Career, Technical, & Customized Education Services at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position will be based at the Technical College High School Pickering campus located in Phoenixville, PA. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- MVR check and approval to drive school vans based on school policies
- Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required
- Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and the federal government (conducted by the CCIU upon hire)
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with secondary students preferred
- Experience in Career & Technical Education preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage work-based learning opportunities including internships, job shadows and field trips.
- Plan support career-related field trips and guest speakers.
- Maintain accurate data and documentation for student experiences.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding WBL expectations and opportunities
- Coordinate and deliver classroom instruction pertinent to career and technical skills in conjunction with classroom teachers.
