This is a vocational rehabilitation professional position responsible for managing, evaluating, training, hiring, facilitating and providing technical assistance to a vocational rehabilitation unit (cost center) to ensure the provision of vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities in order that they may attain or maintain employment. The incumbent of this position will access client information, maintain case records, produce correspondence and perform other automated functions within the position's responsibilities. As a supervisor, the incumbent must communicate with, motivate, provide or coordinate training, and direct the work of his/her subordinates. In addition, the employee must complete timely performance appraisals, develop timely and accurate work plans, and timely approve monthly timesheets and attendance and leave requests for each position under his/her direct report. The incumbent has the authority to make hiring recommendations as well as disciplinary recommendations.
