We are seeking a self-motivated Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to lead our mission on the ground in Martinsburg. You aren’t just a coach; you are a catalyst for independence. You will work directly in the community with Veterans, individuals with autism/developmental challenges, and those facing economic hurdles, ensuring they don't just find a job, but find a place where they truly belong.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Any field) OR Associate’s Degree + 1 year of relevant work experience OR High School Diploma / GED + 2 years of relevant life or work experience.
- The "People" Factor: You are a natural communicator who is equally comfortable pitching to local business owners and advocating for individuals with unique needs.
- Independence: You thrive in the community, possess sharp time-management skills, and enjoy a change of scenery every day.
- Mobility & Compliance: A valid Driver’s License, a reliable vehicle with proper insurance, and the ability to pass a standard background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Act as the professional liaison between your clients and local business partners, securing "win-win" employment matches.
- Provide "real-time" support during orientations, new hire paperwork, and the first critical weeks of a new role.
- Identify and implement assistive technologies and reasonable accommodations to level the playing field.
- Help clients build "natural supports" within their new teams to ensure long-term retention and social connection.
- Manage your caseload independently using a company-provided tablet and reimbursed travel.
