Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor II
About The Position

The Morrisville Office of HireAbility is recruiting for a skilled rehabilitation/career counselor with an ability to support consumers with physical, psychological, or cognitive disabilities in their efforts to access careers and gain employment. This position is a Transition Counselor role and will primarily work with high school aged youth with diagnosed disabilities, partnering with schools, community partners, and families. Job duties include assessment, guidance, and counseling, assisting in finding employment and work experiences, case management, documentation, and collaboration with many community providers. Good computer skills are required and must be proficient in MS Office as well as various video platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, Facetime, etc.).
Requirements
- Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, social work, special education or counseling, education with a special education focus, or a related counseling field
- One (1) or more years of experience at a professional level in the provision of vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities
- Candidates without a degree in Rehabilitation Counseling will be expected to demonstrate successful completion of the following graduate level coursework: Medical or Psychosocial Aspects of Disabilities, Vocational Counseling, Vocational Assessment and Evaluation, Job Placement or Occupational Information
- Must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.
- Proficient in MS Office
