Requirements

  • Relevant professional or lived experience supporting individuals in employment, education, human services, disability services, or related settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a community-based environment.
  • Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screenings.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Help individuals identify their strengths, interests, skills, and career goals.
  • Provide career exploration, job readiness, and employment counseling.
  • Assist with resumes, applications, interviews, and workplace preparation.
  • Provide individualized job coaching and employment support.
  • Build relationships with local employers and identify employment opportunities.
  • Promote inclusive hiring and help connect individuals with the right workplace.
  • Develop partnerships with community organizations and referral sources.
  • Monitor employment progress and provide follow-up support.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, service records, and required documentation.
  • Manage an assigned caseload and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Work throughout Culpeper and surrounding communities in a field-based role.
