Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to pass background screening
  • Ability to complete CPR, First Aid, and required employment-services certifications
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Compassionate, person-centered approach with commitment to community inclusion

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year experience providing employment support, job coaching, or community-based services
  • Familiarity with service coordination, IDD support programs, or vocational rehabilitation principles
  • Experience using Therap or similar data-entry systems

Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery, exploration, assessments, career planning, and development of employment goals.
  • Support clients with job exploration, job shadowing, informational interviewing, assistive technology review, and skills assessment.
  • Facilitate job development, job placement, onboarding assistance, and on-the-job coaching as needed.
  • Develop individualized career plans that reflect strengths, interests, needs, natural supports, and workplace preferences.
  • Transport clients to assessments, interviews, community activities, and job-related appointments.
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, client annual intake paperwork, session notes, and summaries in Therap.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with employers, volunteer sites, funders, families, and school personnel.
  • Complete required employment-support certifications during the first year and continuing education annually.
  • Collect satisfaction surveys from clients and families twice per year.
  • Support Summer Work Programs, intake processes, and job-coaching needs.
  • Complete Event Reports, follow timekeeping requirements, and participate in team collaboration.
