Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in vocational evaluation, counseling, social work, or related field.
  • CRC required.
  • 2+ years of experience in vocational rehabilitation or disability employment services preferred.
  • Knowledge of Social Security work incentives and the Ticket to Work program.
  • Familiarity with Employment Networks (EN) and state Vocational Rehabilitation agencies.
  • Experience with case management software and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Must meet all vocational case management eligibility requirements of the state/jurisdiction of hire.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook Email.
  • Proficient grammar, sentence structure, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have reliable internet.

  • Master’s level and/or advanced study strongly preferred or as required by state law.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Social Security disability beneficiaries participating in the Ticket to Work program
  • Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments to identify skills, interests, and employment barriers
  • Develop individualized work plans (IWPs) with achievable milestones and goals
  • Provide career counseling, job readiness training, and benefits counseling
  • Coordinate vocational rehabilitation services and connect clients with appropriate resources
  • Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support during job search and employment
  • Maintain detailed documentation and case notes in compliance with SSA requirements
  • Advocate for reasonable accommodations in the workplace
  • Performing comprehensive transferable skills analysis to identify alternative employment opportunities based on claimants' existing abilities.
  • Conducting labor market surveys to research job availability and wage data in specific geographic areas.
  • Completing detailed occupational analyses using resources like ONET and DOT document physical and cognitive requirements of various jobs.
  • Performing job analyses to evaluate specific positions' essential functions and Demands.
  • Facilitating ADA accommodations by identifying reasonable workplace modifications for disabled workers.
  • Writing comprehensive forensic reports with supporting evidence.
  • Communicating with stakeholders including insurance representatives.
