About The Position

At Telecare’s TAO South program, we believe that meaningful work is a cornerstone of recovery. As a Vocational Specialist, you aren't just managing a caseload; you are a career architect and a community advocate. You will partner with adults facing mental health challenges to help them rediscover their skills, build confidence, and secure employment that changes the trajectory of their lives. The Mission: You will serve as the primary link between our members and the local workforce, providing the coaching and support they need to live independently in the community they choose.

Requirements

  • High School Graduation or G.E.D. equivalent and three (3) years of direct services in mental health or community services; OR Associate’s degree and two (2) years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in Social Services
  • Must possess at least 1 year of direct service experience providing assistance as a Vocational Specialist
  • Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary link between members and the local workforce.
  • Provide coaching and support to help members live independently.
  • Help members rediscover their skills, build confidence, and secure employment.
