About The Position

Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs. Gurnick Academy is currently seeking Didactic / Clinical Nursing Instructors for the Vocational Nursing program at our Concord Campus. Part-time positions are available. The hourly range for part-time positions is $35.00-$50.00. The schedule includes Monday/Wednesday and Tuesdays/Thursdays, with weekend options also available. Shifts are from 6:30 am - 3:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm.

Requirements

• Hold a current California active license as a Registered Nurse.
• Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school; or a valid teaching credential; or have completed a minimum of one year full-time teaching experience in a state approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or met community college or state university teaching requirements in California.
• Have a minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse within the last five years.
• Currently attending a course offered by an approved school in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes in a Didactic or Clinical Setting for our Vocational Nursing program.
• Meet with didactic and clinical faculty members to discuss program development.
• Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator in the organization of the program and implementation of the programs standards.
• Maintain continuous knowledge of medical education and assure the facilities continuous medical education requirements.
