About The Position

Integrated Bio is seeking two technicians to join their onsite vivarium and tissue processing team. This role is crucial for supporting in vivo studies related to human aging. The technicians will be responsible for maintaining animal colonies and facilities, performing hands-on animal handling, processing tissues for downstream analyses, and maintaining accurate records. This is an essential, hands-on role that forms the backbone of the in vivo pharmacology engine, with direct collaboration with scientists to see how their work contributes to the discovery of new therapies.

Requirements

Detail orientation and experience working with mice and/or small animals in a laboratory setting
Willingness to perform routine facility work reliably and well, every day
Excellent execution of planned experiments, and creativity to plan new ones
The ability to learn and adapt quickly as part of a small team
Willingness to work hard in service of moving the needle on human aging

Nice To Haves

Prior (1+ years) mouse handling experience
Histology or tissue processing experience
A B.A. or B.S. degree in bioengineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field

Responsibilities

Assist with executing key experiments involving animal models
Maintain animal colonies and facilities in a responsive, day-to-day manner, including bedding changes and health checks
Perform hands-on animal handling tasks, including dosing, injections, and measurements
Process tissues to support downstream analyses, including collection, fixation, and sectioning as trained
Keep accurate records and communicate results clearly
