The Loma Linda University Eye Institute Vitreoretinal Fellowship is a two-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery that combines clinical and research training. Clinical training occurs at Riverside University Health System, Loma Linda University Medical Center and affiliated hospitals. The fellowship offers exposure to diverse retinal pathology and high surgical volume. Fellows participate in the training of resident physicians, Grand Rounds presentations, Fluroescein Angiogram conferences, and teaching lectures. Research involves clinical research projects, and design and participation within the clinical trials of the Loma Linda University Eye Institute. This fellowship is approved by the AUPO Fellowship Compliance Committee. A full PGY-5 (1st year) and PGY-6 (2nd year) stipend, including benefits, is provided. The ability to obtain a California Medical License is required for all potential candidates. Applicants must register for the ophthalmology fellowship match on-line through SF Match. The deadline for completing the application process is September 30th of the year prior to starting the fellowship. This fellowship is not eligible for J-1 Visa sponsorship. Candidates must be U.S. and/or Canada residency trained only. We are a California Employer - Please note that a California residency is required upon start date. This opportunity is not eligible for a Conrad 30 waiver.
