About The Position
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Each year, community members give their time and energy to help others receive the biggest check many of them will receive all year: their tax refunds. Even if you've never prepared your own taxes, we provide all of the training needed for you to join our VITA team and serve our community. There are several ways you can help! Administrative Support No IRS certification required. Assist with follow-up appointment calls. Assist with data entry, packet assembly, and other supports as needed. Greeter Greet clients and help complete intake forms. Support and assist tax preparers with client documents. Intake Specialist Collect and verify all necessary documents and scan for preparer. Tax Preparer Prepare and electronically file tax returns for clients. Quality Reviewer Review tax returns for accuracy and completeness.
