Visual Merchandiser (Full-time)
About The Position
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for contributing to the store’s visual appearance and shopability in accordance with company visual guidelines, supporting the mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for Guests. The role includes installing and removing window presentations and promotional displays, preparing props, and partnering with store leadership on layouts, merchandise flow, product rotation, and markdown placement. The Visual Merchandiser also supports Guests and Teammates, communicates visual strategies and workplace concerns, and follows company policies and procedures. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and the day of and day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based on store and business needs.
- Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Install and remove window presentations and store promotional displays on time; pack, unpack, and prepare props while supporting company visual standards.
- Partner with store leadership to plan store layouts, merchandise flow, product rotation, and markdown placement.
- Communicate consistently with the leadership team and explain the reasons behind visual strategies.
- Move new product to the sales floor with urgency.
- Assist Guests and Teammates as needed.
- Use knowledge of Sales Presentation, Register, and iPad systems to assist Guests.
- Report policy violations and Teammate or Guest concerns promptly and confidentially to the Store Manager, District Manager, and/or Human Resources.
- Understand and apply the company’s Code of Ethics, policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Provide a high level of customer service and contribute to a positive team spirit.
- Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
