About The Position

The Visual Inspector is responsible for performing detailed visual and physical inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves accurate measurement, defect classification, and thorough documentation of findings to support quality control processes. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications, labels, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve products from pallets and place them onto designated inspection tables.
  • Prepare and utilize standard inspection procedures (SIPs) and required inspection forms.
  • Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections on products, utilizing tools such as gap gauges, rulers, and calipers/torques.
  • Perform warpage inspections on the clearance inspection table.
  • Execute specific quality tests, including air/leak, flushing, and water stand tests, as required for certain products.
  • Accurately document all inspection findings, including visual defects and critical measurements, on inspection forms.
  • Communicate any non-conforming products, out-of-spec findings, or abnormalities to the Production Supervisor or Team Lead immediately.
  • Ensure proper segregation and labeling of conforming and non-conforming products.
  • Maintain all inspection forms and records in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with good housekeeping and company safety practices.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts of received materials as requested.
  • Ensure product distribution pallets are readily available and managed efficiently.
  • Assist with training new Visual Inspectors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
