About The Position

Doncasters is hiring a Visual Inspector Level II to join its team in Groton, Connecticut. The role independently performs detailed visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace castings and components, evaluates surface condition, verifies dimensions using hand gauges and precision tools, interprets indications, and makes accept/reject decisions according to customer specifications, aerospace standards, and internal procedures. The inspector helps ensure compliance with NADCAP, ASTM, and customer-specific requirements and provides training and guidance to Level I personnel. Shifts listed are first, second, and weekend shifts. Doncasters manufactures complex precision-cast components for aerospace engines and industrial gas turbines. Requirements

Certification to Visual Inspection (VT) Level II in accordance with NAS-410, SNT-TC-1A, or an equivalent aerospace standard.
Strong knowledge of visual inspection principles, standards, and defect interpretation.
Proficiency using hand gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping.
Basic understanding of the visual inspection (VT) process.

Responsibilities
