Visual Information Specialist (Graphic Artist)
About The Position
The Visual Information Specialist develops high-quality visual products that communicate complex military concepts, doctrinal information, and operational processes in a clear and engaging manner. The individual creates graphics, illustrations, charts, diagrams, infographics, presentation materials, and print-ready products supporting U.S. Army doctrine development, education, training, and operational planning. The specialist works closely with military subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy while maintaining professional visual standards and compliance with Army branding requirements.
Requirements
- One (1) year of professional experience in graphic design, visual communications, or visual information production.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent graphic design software.
- Experience producing both digital and print-ready products.
- Ability to interpret technical information and convert it into effective visual communications.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and edit U.S. Army doctrinal publications.
- Working knowledge of current Army doctrine and terminology

Responsibilities
- Design graphics supporting Army doctrine, training, and education products.
- Develop charts, diagrams, maps, infographics, and presentation graphics.
- Format publications and presentation materials for professional publication.
- Ensure all products comply with Army branding, formatting, and accessibility requirements.
- Coordinate with government personnel and military SMEs to ensure technical accuracy.
- Revise products based upon Government review comments.
- Maintain organized electronic project files and source artwork.
- Support rapid-turn requirements while maintaining high production quality.
