This recruitment will be used to fill 2 on-call positions. This position is not eligible for medical and retirement but is eligible to accrue annual and sick leave based on hours worked. Holidays may be paid based on the hours worked in the same month. This position is included in a bargaining unit represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE). Schedule: On-call, days and times vary, shifts offered are potentially Monday through Sunday 9:45am to 5:15pm. Evenings, weekends, and some holidays may be offered as necessitated by events, exhibits or festivals. Depending on availability, total monthly hours will not exceed 69. You will need to be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. The mission of the Washington State Historical Society (WSHS) is to partner with our communities to explore how history connects us all. This position is the first point of contact for visitors, and therefore responsible for the initial museum experience. This position is the point-of-sale for admission, membership, some parking collection, and some store sales. This position also supports the organization by answering questions of visitors, selling admissions and informing/selling memberships and other program offerings to visitors.
