About The Position

Student will learn how electron microscopy is used to image and characterize materials and devices at the nanoscale and atomic scale for microelectronics applications. Student will be introduced to state-of-the-art scanning and transmission electron microscope technology at Argonne's Center for Nanoscale Materials and gain hands on experience with Python-based processing of imaging and spectroscopy data to analyze structure and chemistry of microelectronics materials.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution, OR graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months, OR actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
