The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is seeking a highly motivated Visiting Research Assistant Professor to join their team. This position is available immediately and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. The research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of RNA-mediated gene regulation and how dysregulation of gene expression contributes to cancer development and progression. The team combines cutting-edge experimental and computational approaches to investigate gene regulatory networks at molecular, cellular, and systems levels. Current research areas include RNA expression regulation and its role in cancer biology, functional genomics and gene regulatory mechanisms, high-throughput multi-omics approaches (including RNA-seq, CRISPR screening, single-cell sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics), integration of bioinformatics and genomic data analysis, and development of RNA-based molecular biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis.
