The College of Business and Humanities at The University of Findlay invites applications for a full-time faculty position with the rank of Visiting Professor of Business Analytics beginning in August 2026. This is a position with a two-year term, with the potential extension for a permanent position given program success. The program seeks an applicant who believes in a team approach, dedicated to providing a quality education, and desires to offer experiential learning opportunities for students in an effort to grow the program. The candidate will be expected to teach a range of business analytics courses, including lower-level, upper-level and graduate. Additional responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate students, participating in service activities at the college and university levels and involvement in student engagement initiatives. The business program is ACBSP accredited. The minimum academic requirement for this position is a Master’s degree in a quantitative business discipline, math, statistics, analytics, data science, or similar discipline (PhD or DBA preferred). Faculty rank will be determined based upon a combination of experience and education. Additionally, at least 5 years of practical experience in utilizing analytical techniques in a professional organization is preferred, or the same number of years in an academic setting developing and teaching analytics courses. Additional qualifications include candidates who should have familiarity and practical experience with technology tools for analytical purposes (ex. R, Matlab, Python, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.). Candidates should have familiarity and practical experience with data visualization tools (ex. MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, PowerPivot, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.). Candidates should have familiar and practical experience with database management tools and coding to support those tools (SQL Server, Spark, etc.). Candidates should have familiar and practical experience utilizing advanced statistical tools to solve business problems or for the purpose of business research. In addition, candidates should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on presenting analytical results clearly and accurately. Candidates must have the ability to develop and deliver curriculum, meet the demands of the position in a timely manner, and assess student learning outcomes.
