We are looking for RNs and RPNs who desire great flexibility in their schedules. This is a Part-Time position in the Bowmanville area. Hours of work are within a 2-week rotation inclusive of weekends, weekdays, and on-call work.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) degree or diploma
  • Current College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registration in good standing
  • A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our patients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle as regular travel is required
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR Certification
  • Current immunization record including 2 step TB test
  • A current vulnerable sector check and a clear background check

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining an effective Care Plan with respect to Community Health Services, independently or in cooperation with the Ontario Health atHome.
  • Working with patients (in-person) to provide exceptional nursing services
  • Providing services in a variety of settings which may include in-home, clinic, retirement home or school
  • Communicating and liaising with patients, family members and others within the interdisciplinary care team
  • Performing other clinical duties as required
