About The Position
The Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh seeks candidates to fill a position as a Visiting Lecturer specializing in History and Philosophy of Medicine for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role begins in Fall 2026.
Requirements
- A PhD or ABD status in History and Philosophy of Science, Philosophy, or a closely related field expected by the proposed start date
- Evidence of teaching experience.

Responsibilities
- Undergraduate teaching (Three sections of the Medicine and Morality and three sections of Mind and Medicine, over the course of the year. These sections are capped at 35 students each.)
- Regular departmental duties.
