Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, is seeking a Visiting Lecturer of Computer Science and Engineering to commence employment in Fall 2026. TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8,000 students situated in Laredo, Texas. The university is dedicated to advancing knowledge through research, teaching, community engagement, and a strong focus on student success and research excellence. This is a Fixed-term, 9-month Visiting Lecturer appointment. The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate computer science and computer engineering courses such as Machine Learning, Signals and Systems, and introductory programming, as well as other courses based on the School's needs. Additional duties involve advising and mentoring students, including Senior Design activities, and participating in assessment, accreditation, and other service activities for the School of Engineering. This position requires regular on-campus presence and face-to-face interaction. The School of Engineering boasts strong enrollment and ABET-accredited programs. New B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Systems Engineering programs are set to launch in Fall 2026.
