Visiting Lecturer I in Cosmetology
About The Position
The University of New Mexico-Gallup invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer I in Cosmetology/Barbering. UNM-Gallup is one of four branch community colleges of the University of New Mexico, serving approximately 2,500 students in Gallup, NM. The branch is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers Associate degrees, selected Bachelor’s degrees, Career Technical Education certificate programs, and adult basic education (ABE/GED), workforce training, and personal enrichment courses. UNM-Gallup serves multiple high school populations. The university is expanding its programs, engaging with the community, establishing endowments and grant opportunities, and hiring new faculty. The successful candidate will teach a 30 CH course load per year in Cosmetology/Barbering, participate in monthly Division meetings, and execute other relevant duties as agreed upon with the division chair.
Requirements
- New Mexico State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists Cosmetology/Barber Instructor’s License or Provisional License
- Three years industry experience

Responsibilities
