This position involves conducting research on the development and clinical translation of multi-ion radiotherapy technologies to improve cancer treatment. The research focuses on developing advanced treatment planning and optimization algorithms for multi-ion beam therapy. This includes biologically guided dose optimization, Monte Carlo-based dose calculation, relative biological effectiveness (RBE) modeling, and robust treatment planning under anatomical and biological uncertainties. The candidate will also develop computational tools for image-guided treatment planning, perform simulation and experimental validation, analyze preclinical and clinical datasets, and contribute to the integration of multi-ion radiotherapy into next-generation precision radiation oncology.
