About The Position

Eastern Michigan University’s GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology has several Visiting Faculty positions in engineering technology and construction management to deliver programs in the People’s Republic of China. Each position is a 12-month appointment. The selected candidates will teach undergraduate courses, hold scheduled weekly office hours, advise students, and conduct research at EMU. They will also provide service to the programs, including supporting assessment and accreditation, participating in student recruitment and related student activities, attending departmental meetings and functions, and providing assessment reports.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Mechanical, Computer, or Product Design engineering, engineering technology, or construction management; candidates in closely related fields will be considered.
• Candidates with a master’s degree and significant industrial experience will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

• College-level teaching experience and/or industrial experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses.
• Hold scheduled weekly office hours and advise students.
• Conduct research at EMU.
• Support assessment and accreditation, including providing assessment reports.
• Participate in student recruitment, registration, orientation, convocations, and commencements.
• Attend and participate in scheduled departmental meetings and functions.
• Support other activities related to the programs.
